Catching Up!

So I haven't written in long time, so I thought I would write and try to catch up on all the things that have been happening in the Baker house.

  1. We moved into a condo (we are renting)! We moved in the beginning of January 2010. It is so much nicer then living in the travel trailer... I am definitely happier.
  2. Jeff got a job working for Andrus Transportation fixing truck trailers. He has been working there for about 4 months now.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY.....

We had a new baby boy! He was born May 12th, 2010. He is the light of our lives. He was 7 lbs 11 oz. We had to have a c-section because I was not progressing past a 6 and had been in labor for almost 24 hours (at was at a 6 for 15 of those hours). We found out after they did the c-section that the reason I was not progressing was because my monkey had the cord wrapped around his stomach and it was preventing him from moving down. But we are doing great!

We just got back from Lake Powell. It was so much fun. It was too hot down there so we left the baby with my family for a few days and took some much needed couples time. We had fun, but I sure did miss my monkey!

Anyway I will post some pictures of my monkey soon.

So I haven't posted for quite a long time and I know that nobody reads this but just in case anybody ever does I am going totry to start blogging. So I am now working for Kearns High School now (since Aug 2008). I love it. I get to work with the severe disability unit there and it is amazing the spirits they have. But I get do foods, ceramics, water aerobics, and other fun things. I particularly work with one special spirit...that lets say tests my patience. But I will write about my experiences with her in other blogs. Right now we are trying to work on getting a house...but it is not really gonna happen anytime soon.

So we just got back from Vegas. It was really fun. Jeff and I went down with my sister and her husband and their 4 kids. We did a little gambling... Jeff also got to go to the monster truck rally. He really enjoyed that. It was a nice and pretty relaxing weekend that we both really needed.

I will try to write more often...I am not really good at blogging.

New Home?

So about two weeks ago Jeff and I were talking about what we wanted to do about the stress of living with my parents (not one of our best decisions). Jeff started talking about living in a camp trailer. So we started to look at some and I fell in love with this huge 5th wheel toy hauler trailer. It had a master bedroom upstairs and it had like a loft bed, and it had two beds that came down from the ceiling in the toy hauler part. It was beautiful and big. So we started the process of trying to get approved for it. But, we didn't. They told us that we needed to get something cheaper to get us closer to our goal (it is long story and complicated) so we pick a less expensive and somewhat smaller used trailer to live in. It is very nice. It even came with a washer/dryer combo! So we have now been living in our "house" for a little over a week.

Lost Ring?

So today was almost one of the worst days of my life. It started out with me having to get dressed up to go to the symphony with the 3 Sixth graders ( I am an aide at an elementary school). I had to do my regular things for the class until it was time to leave. I had to rush to get my jacket on and to lock up my purse before having to rush out to the bus. We got on the bus with the other sixth graders from the school and we headed to Cottenwood High School for a special performance by the Utah Symphony. We got all seated in our seats and I just happen to look down at my hand and noticed my wedding ring was gone. I was so frantic I searched my pockets and found no ring. I didn't know where it could be. So I was so paniced not knowing where it had gone. So we got back to the school and I looked in the halls where I had walked that day. I also looked on the floor of the classroom thinking maybe it had dropped in there. And the last place to look was my purse. But, I could not get to my purse because it was in the closet behind the classroom teacher who just happened to be having a meeting. So I skipped lunch waiting and worrying, and hoping that the ring was in my purse. So finally her meeting ended and I got to look in my purse.... And guess what? It was there. I was so so worried. So the moral of the story? It is to always keep my eyes on my ring.
